BLACK & GOLD

I grew up in a household where sports were always on TV, mostly thanks to my dad. My dad is from Wheeling, WV, so he is a fan for the black and gold teams, the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

During my junior year at Virginia Tech, I was in a laser cutting class where you learn how to cut, engrave, anything your heart desires, with a huge laser cutter. With my dad’s birthday coming up, I decided I wanted to design something that he would love to have hanging on his office walls. I designed this Pittsburgh sports graphic with all of my dad’s favorite players to be engraved on a piece of 36” x 40” inch piece of birch plywood.
